Ghosts

Quick gameplay tips

  • Discard Spectre as soon as you can! It's a minion you can play from your discard pile, so it's no big deal if an opponent destroys it, and is a solid option when you haven't got any good minions to play from hand. Which will probably happen because you'll be discarding a lot.
  • This might seem obvious, but don't discard the cards you actually want to play. If you're saving up for a big combo make sure to not get rid of a combo piece, because then, well, you won't be able to do it.
  • Creampuff Man remedies some of this, as its ability lets you play an action from your discard pile as an extra action, so you can sort of discard cards with the intent of playing them later. Creampuff Man also gives a substantial power boost, if your hand is relatively empty.

The Ghosts are all about not having cards. Well, having cards in their discard pile. They gain powerful benefits for having next to no cards in their hand, and can even manipulate their discarded cards for some resurrection action. To help get rid of those pesky cards as quickly as possible, the Ghosts also have a plethora of cards that allow them to discard cards for beneficial effects. Spirit allows them to destroy a minion by discarding cards equal to its power, which is a great way to empty out a hand and destroy a key enemy minion at the same time. The downside of discarding a lot of cards is that you do tend to run out of things to play. Spectre and Creampuff Man work to mitigate this somewhat, by giving you power and plays if you haven't got anything in your hand. But when they're not out, the Ghosts can get too incorporeal for their own good. A good deal of forward planning is needed, like with the action 'Make Contact', which essentially allows the Ghosts to possess an enemy minion - but it can only be played if it's the last card in their hand. This requires careful planning to carry out, juggling cards to play and discard while not ruining their plans.
