Were the socks necessary?
Absolutely, so were the skirt and tail.
Why? Wasn't the old site working?
It was working fine, but it was always sort of intended to be a temporary thing because i wanted to be able to tailor it a bit more, and it ended up being a 4 years temporary thing. There were a bunch of small grievances with the old site that meant i couldn't do things exactly how i wanted to, but now i'm free as a bird. It's also nice to refresh things a bit sometimes.
What does this mean for the old site?
i'm not exactly sure to be honest. It won't be going anywhere but probably won't be updated going forward. Treat it as a dusty archive maybe.
What's going to happen on this newer, shinier, 20% cooler site?
All of the old stuff! And some exciting new stuff as well, maybe i'll finally make that media list.
