Ignobles

Quick gameplay tips
- For clarity, you OWN minions that started in your deck, and you CONTROL minions that are on your side of the board.
- Betrothed is deceptively powerful - in that it can force a draw by you playing a single card. A lot of bases have a 1 VP difference between 1st and 2nd place, and betrothing betrothed to an opponent can nullify their advantage on that base. It can give you a massive advantage by allowing you to save cards while not losing a points lead on a base, and even discourage opponents from carrying on on that base as you'd just draw in points anyway! It's a really good card.
- The Hill that Strolls is your main way of powering up the minions you lend to your opponent, and then also taking them back when you decide it's time. While its complete lack of power and gameplan of giving power to your opponent do make it quite vulnerable in Clash of the Titans. But, you should be able to play it regularly when you've managed to give your opponent a few minions.
- This might sound obvious, but don't get too carried away with handing over your minions. Especially if you think your opponent might be able to make use of their abilities - it's always best to give them an on-play minion so they can't get as much use out of it. And try and have a way to regain control of them in a pinch!
Gameplay
ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO PLAY THE THRONE GAME?
The Ignobles bring the fine art of diplomacy to Smash Up, sending envoys as a gesture of goodwill before plunging a knife into their back. Their unique gimmick is giving control of their minions to other players for powerful benefits, like extra plays or even taking control of other players' minions. Aunt of Drakes allows the Ignobles to give control of one of their minions to another player to draw a card and play an extra action, a really good enabler for action combos and also cycling through their deck. Even better when combined with the faction Titan The Hill that Strolls, who allows them to instantly regain control of the offered minion. Other cards like Activate the Spy allow the Ignobles to regain control of a critical minion, ideally the turn before a base scores. Other minions like Betrothed even hand themselves over to the opponents, and gain powerful bonuses for NOT being reclaimed by the Ignobles. They also come with some utility and destruction cards, forcing each player to destroy/return to hand a minion that they own - devastating effects when used correctly. They're a really fun and rewarding faction to play, with their only real weakness being that they can fall short if they don't sufficiently plan ahead and accidentally hand opponents free wins.
