Anansi Tales

Quick gameplay tips
- Since you'll be sharing your cards with your opponent, you have to be even more considerate of your hand and what cards you need to make a combo. Make sure not to accidentally give away any of your combo pieces to your opponent, as they could turn them around on you!
- Anansi Tales have very strong card draw, the 'downside' of which is that your opponents will get a share of this drawing action. You can abuse this by using the 10-card limit to force your opponent to discard a bunch of cards, and you can then overwhelm them with a surprise swarm of Mboro Hornets!
- You've got lots of cards which let you play extra actions, but a huge action chain isn't the most effective use for them. Instead, consider using an extra action or two each turn for consistent strength, as the Anansi Tales aren't particularly strong with swing turns, and instead favour steady growth
Gameplay
TONIGHT, A TALE OF TERRIBLE TRAGEDY...
As followers of the trickster spider god, Anansi Tales outwit their opponents by skillfully trading stories (cards) before they even realise they're being swindled. By the time they realise what's going on, they've already moved over to the next base to continue the cycle over again. Anansi Tales' unique mechanic is that a lot of their actions are placed into an opponent's hand instead of the discard pile after they're played - gaining powerful benefits for doing so. Their main power source is their 4 cost minions, Onini the Python and Osebo the Leopard, who gain power when you place a card into another player's hand or they play one of your cards, respectively. These can get surprisingly big, it's easy to underestimate but if they play their cards right these can spiral out of control. Anansi Tales also have a very high amount of actions that let them play an extra action, as a lot of their actions will end up being placed into other players' hands. This is their main drawback, as cunning players wll keep important cards hostage if they get wind of what Anansi and the gang are up to. The main way they break out of this trap is through Collecting Stories - an action that lets you play one of your actions from an opponent's hand as an extra action. They also have no ways to combat enemy minions, they're far more about outwitting rather than overpowering.
