Minions of Cthulhu

Quick gameplay tips
- Power comes at a price...you've got very strong actions but they require a sacrifice to come into fruition. Be prepared to destroy minions, skip turns and draw Madness. Lots of Madness.
- The main way you mitigate losing from Madness is by offloading your Madness cards to other players. The way you do this is through Cthulhu and Star Spawn of Cthulhu's Talents, when they're on the board keep them alive at all costs!
- Due to your strength at recycling actions, you get very strong when you've got a slim deck. Towards the end of the game, focus on stuffing your most useful actions back into your deck and recycling them again and again with extra action plays, to close out the game on your own terms.

The Minions of Cthulhu herald the oncoming apocalypse, revelling in the chaos and insanity of the end times. They specialise in action chains and risky plays, as their strongest actions require them to draw a substantial amount of Madness cards. 'Whispers in Darkness' gives them 2 extra action plays at the cost of drawing a Madness card, and 'Madness Unleashed' allows them to discard any number of Madness cards to draw a card and play an extra action for each. This can lead to some incredibly strong turns, especially considering the faction's overwhelming focus on actions. Their minion power is far below average, being just 22 as opposed to the standard 30. 8 of this power also comes from Servitors of Cthulhu, who basically just exist for a sacrifice to recycle actions. This makes them quite reliant on the power afforded by other factions, as without it they can struggle to fight for a place on the board. To make up for this weakness their action chains and deck manipulation are exceptionally strong, making them versatile and formidable opponents when piloted correctly.
